James McCulloch York Dickens (born 4 April 1931) has been a British Labour politician. He was Member of Parliament for the marginal constituency of Lewisham West from 1966 to 1970.He was a member of the Tribune Group of left-wing MPs. His seat was gained by the Conservative candidate John Gummer.
After leaving Parliament, he became Director Of Personnel with Thames Water. He is no longer a Labour Party member, because of opposition to the Iraq War.
